Staying healthy with a balanced diet

balanced-dietNutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals, fats, and water) are essential for you in order to supply energy for your body functions, also for the growth and repair of your body and to regulate the body processes.

So to stay healthy, you should depend on a diet that contains all the essential nutrients, a balanced diet.In addition we must avoid the intake of harmful foods that is harmful to our health in larger quantities. The following tips are some tips in general for people who are healthy and wants be that way always. Not for the ones who need special diets because of any disease or any other abnormal condition.

  • For your every day diet choose foods of nutrient-dense and avoid the empty calorie food, so that you get adequate nutrients with in calorie need of your body.
  • Choose food that limits the intake of fats, cholesterol, added sugar, salts and also alcohol.
  • Try to manage weight by balancing the calories that you consume from the ones that you burn.
  • To prevent gradual weight gain, make small decrease in the calories you consume and increase your physical activity.
  • Develop a better habit of eating rather than depending on crash diets.
  • Get at least 30 minutes of vigorous exercise every in order to engage physical activity so that it will promote a healthy body weight and other health benefits.
  • Strongly emphasize the right foods with the highest nutrient density like fruits, vegetables, whole grain, low fat or fat free milk and milk products.

    I am wondering whether I should get a scales, which calculates calories, fat, protein, etc.
    I think it’s quite practical…

    I eat a lot of vegetables and fruits, but should eat more fish and proteins…
