Mayonnaise or else mayo, is a thick creamy yellow to white color sauce or a dressing which is almost used in all the salads, sandwiches and burgers. Although these days most kitchens have a food processor, most of us still reach for the bottled mayonnaise. And that is too bad, because mayonnaise is something which is easy, fast and cheap to make at home in just few minutes. Homemade mayonnaise will not compromise the taste; in fact it would taste even better. But homemade mayonnaise will not keep for long. So you have to make small batches and use it up soon.
To the following mayonnaise recipe basic, you can add garlic, basil, tomato paste, pickle to make flavoured mayonnaise. I will advise you to use pasteurized egg yolks while making mayonnaise as to get rid of the bacteria salmonella which cause food poison. Enjoy making your own fuss free mayonnaise with this recipe which yields about 2 cups.

Excellent tip and it’s very important to avoid the possible problems with salmonella to use the pasteurized egg yolks.
