If you want to reuse oil it’s probably best to use sunflower oil for frying. The high smoke point it starts with gives you more re-uses before it degrades below the frying temperature. We all like to save and be economical by not wasting cooking oil and utilizing it only for once. So here it is, a simple technique to purify cooking oil without the use of any expensive equipment.
Place the vessel containing the used oil on fire. When the oil starts boiling, add some salt in to it and when it boils up again, sprinkle a little cold water on it. Remove from fire and strain through an old cloth or through a stainless steel sieve. But always remember when heating oil over and over again the number of transformed fats get increased which is dangerous to your health as it increase the risk of heart attack.I woud not recommend the usage for more than 3 to 4 times. So if you want to fry something always try using a new portion of oil instead of reusing. Just reuse a small amount of the purified oil so that there wont be any waste.

I use sunflower oil to do the frying……once, maybe twice of frying, I use them to make chilli oil, after straining. Or use them to stir-fry vegetables, like green beans, eggplants.
