Beef Patties

Beef patties are easy to make and delicious the flavor can be varied by adding different vegetables like red peppers or mushrooms. They are versatile and can be served in numerous ways, with french fries with buns or even with some rice and tomato sauce.

Ingredients

  • 500g lean minced beef
  • 4 onions , 1 finely chopped and 3 sliced
  • 2 -3 bell peppers (sliced length wise)
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • salt and black pepper for taste

Method

1 Place the minced beef and the chopped onions plus the olive oil and mix well. Season well and form around 8 small patties.patty

2 Heat the remaining oil on a nonstick pan the add the patties and cook on both sides until they appear browned.Sprinke about 1tbsp of water and add little seasoning

3 Cover the patties with the sliced onions and peppers and sprinkle another 1tbsp of water and some seasoning. Lower the heat to very lowand braise for 20 mins.

4 When the onions apear to turn golden brown remove from pan from the heat.

5 Serve with some onions and peppers

    This is the one I cook very often, say…..4-5 times a week, but with different herbs and seasonings…will be my man’s dinner tonight.
