Melon Berry Basket

I like melons but truly love berries, specially blueberries, strawberries and raspberries. My husband got these cute fresh yellow melons yesterday from his friend’s melon farm, which is one of his favorite fruit. The melon had yellow green skin and had a dark orange fragrant flesh. I could not resist to make this special yet simple and delicious dessert for him. The dessert took about 10 minutes for me to prepare. Here I used only strawberries and blueberries since my fruit stock was out of raspberries. The melon berry basket would also make a perfect, attractive party bowl.

Ingredients

  • 1 Melon
  • Some Strawberries halved
  • Some Blue berries
  • Honey

Method

1 Cut a very thin slice from both the ends of the melon so that the melon would remain stable when kept up right and slice the melon in half.

2 Scoop out the seeds with a large spoon.

3 Put all the berries in the middle of the melon half and top with 2-3 tea spoon of honey.
