Apple with raspberry smoothie

Apple and raspberry are great combination of fruits that you can use to make delicious smoothies. This amazing smoothie you can prepare just with in maximum of 10 minutes. Apple and raspberry smoothie is a very simple recipe which refreshes your body and mind on a tiring day after work or any time of the day. It gives a lot of vitamins, proteins and minerals too. The following recipe will serve only one glass of apple and raspberry smoothie. Each glass of apple and raspberry smoothie gives calories of only 93.I have used some low fat milk and creme fraiche to give an extra lift to the creamy taste of the smoothie. For the apple you can use any type of apple like green red or golden. Here I have used a red apple. Enjoy this refreshing fuss free apple with raspberry smoothie.

Ingredients

  • 1 apple, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 55 g fresh or thawed frozen raspberries
  • 4 tbsp butter milk or low fat natural yogurt
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp chilled water and Ice cubes

Method

1 Put the chopped apples in a blender together with chilled water. Blend for 1 minute.

2 Add the raspberries in to the blender and blend for 30 seconds before adding the honey. After that add honey and yogurt and blend for further a further minute.

3 Place few ice cubes in to a tumbler, pour over the smoothie, decorate with some raspberries and serve chilled.

    i’ve never, ever used apple in a smoothie, but it’d add such a lovely texture (not to mention flavor). this combo sounds delightful, and the creamy yogurt is the perfect base.

    A wonderful treat! I love homemade smoothies. I rarely use apples in my smoothies but they do add a nice natural sweetness!
