
1 Peel the potatoes and cut them into large chunks.
2 Place the chunks in a pan of salted boiling water and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until completely tender.
3 Drain the pan and leave the potatoes over low heat for a couple of minutes, shaking the pan to drive off access moisture.
4 Remove the chunks from the pan and using a potato masher, mash the potatoes until smooth.
5 Add the milk and a large pat of butter and then season with sat and black pepper to taste.
6 Now to dress up the mash potatoes and the pesto sauce and stir till thoroughly combined.

Yum – pesto is so delicious. Haven’t tried it in mash but I promise you that I will!
